TIMAC AGRO at the Oxford Farming Conference

Our Technical Specialist from Pembrokeshire, Hannah Rees, is one of just two individuals from the UK to be awarded a coveted scholarship to the Oxford Farming Conference through the NFYFC (national federation of young farmers).

The conference takes place early in January, with the theme “Facing Change, Finding Opportunity”. Speakers will explore adaptation opportunities for farmers, to meet the needs of our changing industry and environment.

Current and future farming policies will be discussed, as well as new practices and innovations within the sector.

Hannah Rees, Technical Specialist from TIMAC AGRO has been awarded a scholarship to attend the Oxford Farming Conference.

This exciting scholars programme enables young people to participate in the conference that otherwise may not have had the opportunity to do so, providing a valuable stepping stone to fulfil a career within farming or agribusinesses.

The itinerary began with a trip to London last week for Hannah, to the McDonalds Head Quarters, where the hosts explained their commitment to agriculture and sustainability including the journey of their ingredients from “farm to bap”.

The group of scholars began with a visit to McDonald's headquarters in London, next on the agenda is the Oxford Farming Conference in January.

Next up is the Oxford Farming Conference (OFC25) which takes place from 8th to 10th January 2025, in Oxford and Online. A programme teaser and tickets are now available by visiting the dedicated conference section.

Hannah is looking forward to this two-day meeting which will give a valuable opportunity for networking, career development, idea sharing and key skills training.
